How submissions are handled
Every submission is stored per official and field and reviewed by a person against primary sources (the FEC, Congress.gov, GovTrack, state agencies, and dated reporting). When a correction checks out, we update the data with citations and a fresh “data as of” date. We do not silently overwrite the record, and we do not guarantee a specific outcome or timeline.

Verified responses are displayed alongside the data rather than replacing our independent analysis, so readers can see both.
