What your support funds
Contributions go toward the real costs of operating the project:
- Infrastructure — hosting, the domain, and the public data APIs that power the site.
- AI and data-processing licenses — the generative-AI and data tools used to research, summarize, and score officials and candidates from public sources.
- Development — ongoing work to expand coverage, add features, and keep the data current.
Why support is needed
The project is currently self-funded. Because of its heavy use of generative AI, researching and populating each new state carries a real AI and data-processing cost, and many updates are required as we head through the midterms. Contributions help load additional states and keep existing data current. If your state is not yet available, you can request that it be prioritized on the corrections and requests page, and optionally pair the request with a small contribution here.
