Hannah Pingree (D) and Bobby Charles (R) won their June 9 primaries via ranked-choice tabulation completed June 19, 2026; former state senator Rick Bennett runs as an unenrolled (independent) candidate. Gov. Janet Mills is term-limited and not on the ballot. Maine general elections for state office use plurality voting, not ranked choice.
