June 9 primary; races without a first-round majority were decided by ranked-choice tabulation completed June 19, 2026. Nominees: U.S. Senate — Graham Platner (D), who won outright on June 9 with about 72% over Gov. Janet Mills (withdrawn), but who himself withdrew from the race in July 2026; Governor — Hannah Pingree (D), who trailed on election night but won the final ranked-choice round ~56%-44% over Nirav Shah, and Bobby Charles (R); U.S. House ME-2 — Matthew Dunlap (D).
