Special nominating convention to replace Graham Platner (D), who won the June 9 primary but withdrew July 2026 after sexual-assault allegations, which he denies. Over the July 18–20 weekend Troy Jackson secured majority delegate support (his campaign claimed 481 of 601); main rivals Shenna Bellows, Nirav Shah, and Jordan Wood dropped out and endorsed him. Formal Bangor vote July 25 at the Cross Insurance Center; Maine law requires the party to certify a replacement nominee by July 27.
